Create a 3d book cover in Canva for free

Here is a little secret I discovered I thought I would share on how to make your artwork look like it’s on a book cover for free using Canva. If you aren’t using Canva it’s a very intuitive design program for just about anything you want to create. The free version offers many features to get you started. I will highlight in this video which is free and which is paid.

I recently needed to design a bookmark for Janet Finsilver, a USA Today Best-selling Author for her series Murder at Redwood Cove. On the back she wanted each book cover represented but not seen as a stack because they can also be read independently from each other. To give it dimension I used the images of the covers from Amazon and created the 3D effect using Canva. The video below explains how I did that.

A new college website!

This past year I have been working hard on revamping our college website. It’s a been a big undertaking and it’s not fully launched yet but the designs are approved and the templates are being converted into our new CMS (content management system) OmniUpdate.

Soon it will be a matter of migrating thousands of pages of content!!!
