2022 update

Ugh… I hate writing this kind of post but I feel I must when I can’t get around these time stamps that computers assign to us to remind us how out of date we are. I was a  semi-regular poster to this blog and I didn’t choose to stop posting in 2021 but life does have a way of changing your plans.

I wanted to post something thoughtful about the pandemic as we were going through it but it’s true what they say that you can’t really write about something when you are in it. It isn’t until afterwards can you really look back, reflect and analyze what happened. Technically we are still in it here in California. The cases are rising again… there is a war going in Ukraine… the planet is burning up. It’s all so depressing. How can I write about that other than to use swear words and sound generally negative?

This blog wasn’t supposed to be about that stuff. This blog was supposed to be a place just to share out what I am working on and things I learned in the process. I’ve been lucky to work remote now for the last year and half and while not having the commute is nice the amount of zoom meetings has been overwhelming sitting at the computer. I just want to run out the door like a school girl to the playground. Actually it’s more like a hobble but you get the idea. 🙂

I am proud to say I think I have advanced in a lot of areas since my last post that I would like to share it all out here. Areas of graphic design (setting up campaigns from start to finish), photography (getting a drone pilots license), and marketing tips for growing brand awareness. I am also pursuing a WAS and CAPCC certification to solidify my experience in accessible design.

In my personal life I got myself a chicken flock and the garden is always requiring a bit of tweaking as well as my fun pack of poodles always providing me with entertainment. If you are interested in my detailing some of these things in my public log please take a moment and comment or add your name to my mailing list. That way you don’t have to check when I’ve posted on my once-in-awhile blog 🙂

Hope everyone is doing well, feeling safe and being creative!
