I just love the appearance of this cat. The subtle colors in what appear to be just gray and his wonderful yellow eyes. Just submitted this to shutterstock a few days ago and now is in my gallery.

A few felines
I had the pleasure of getting a few felines comfortable with the camera…
This cat is almost a blue gray in tone when you see him. I decided to try and go for a tone on tone here and made a hammock out of a scarf I had. He seems quite comfortable don’t ya think? Read more

Vehicle graphic detail
After 40+ years Chapman’s Dog Grooming of Antioch is going mobile! Here is a closeup of part of the graphics I am doing for the mobile grooming vehicle.
The image of the dog is high resolution so it’s enough for printing on the door of the vehicle and the grass and bubbles were created in Adobe Illustrator so they could be scaled at various sizes. It’s not complete yet but I will be posting updates as the project moves along. I have to credit tutsplus for the wonderful tutorial on how to create realistic bubbles!.
A Little King
This is a young Western King bird that I found one day on the ground in the evening hours. I thought it just couldn’t figure out how to fly yet and had fallen out of the nest. The nest was atop a high tree so there was no way to put it back. Our cats and peacocks were ready to eat it right there so I took it in for the night hoping to release it in the morning where I knew it’s parents were. Unfortunately it was then I I found out upon closer inspection that he was missing all of one wing and would never ever have a chance of getting off the ground. I didn’t appear to be a fresh wound since it was otherwise healthy. It was then I found out I had a little king in my life!
Little King now had a king sized mansion with all perches and branches at various angles so he can hop from branch to branch. Here he is sitting on his perch in my studio. Some are shot against a white background with just window lighting and a reflector and others are shot with a shoot through umbrella and an SB600 opposite the window. The images with trees in the background were seen through a side window.

My noisy Scrub Jay
Wow – this guy will NOT shutup! He comes to my garden all the time for sunflower seeds but his main mission in life is to give my cat hell. I know where my cat is at all times by the loud screaming this bird does. He dive bombs my cat and comes within a few feet of him. Years ago my cat killed his mate and he has never got over it. My cat is going a little crazy as well as I am. I have to admire his spunk!
