I am currently working on a big redesign of a college website and the new design has a place for a campus panorama. It’s a very wide yet short spot and needs to respond well on mobile devices. I could have done this with my big girl camera but the phone pano app is so darn convenient and does the job!
There is so much to be said for convenient. It’s wrecking havoc with the big girl camera market, and for good reason. Smart phone cameras have arrived at the good enough point for so many things. And far exceed the dslrs in ease of workflow.
Each tool has its place and this is a good use for the iPhone. “Good enough” doesn’t cut it for clients much of the time, at least for those I shoot for.
