Likin’ the lichen at LV

It was a REALLY cold morning this morning but the hills are so green and everything is wet after the recent storm. I knew of some rocks at Los Vaqueros Reservoir that I saw in the Summer that I thought might be pretty in the Spring. Then I find out LV will be closed until August in this part due to construction starting March 7th. So I hot-footed it out on my mountain bike, actually frozen footed it out to get this picture. Unfortunately the clouds were very thick this morning and the wind was bitterly strong and cold. I had a fraction of a second to get this shot as the sun traveled through a hole in the clouds and in an instance it was swallowed up again. Here is my one shot. I hope you like it too.
