Was a nice little surprise today to catch a big race.
As my friend said he felt a little European getting to experience the prestigious Tour of California. I sipped my Peet’s coffee (a large caramel mocha with whole milk and whipped cream) and waited with the spectators.
And in a blink of an eye they were gone!
The gap between the leaders and the pack closed some by the time they reached the other end of Marsh Creek Rd. Maybe 4 minutes? you got some great shots!
The reports on KCBS said they blew by the spectators in no time at all.
Good shots of the fast movers! I’ve been seeing some updates on TV about the race.
Very Cool!
Nice stuff. They are GODS! The guys you shot got reeled in eventually, but they had a good break for most of the race. I shot them coming up Diablo, but am too beat to even download them tonight.
That was fun – especially since it went right by our house. Yeah it was about 4 minutes between the leaders and the pack at that point
Yeah I really liked the video you got of them going by. You had a really good view of them – better than I did.
A good report.4 minutes when they are about 30 miles from the finish is a gap that can be bridged.Usually the big group can calculate the time to bridge the gap and then go in action.
