To design by definition is to form an idea. Graphics, photography, and type when woven together can illustrate a good idea and even enhance that idea. This is the knowledge I strive for in every project I undertake.

779-7200 Currently work in a freelancer capacity. I redesigned their
web site home page and currently maintain content. I designed full
color hand booklets, flyers and postcards for the marketing department.
Los Medanos College 2700 East Leland, California; (925) 439-2181 Hired originally as a freelancer designing direct mail pieces and producing the printed schedule of class listings. Later hired as a full time web administrator and won the Northern California Pro award for the best web site red-design among the California Community College. Currently I maintain the internet, intranet, catalog and schedule of classes as well as a number of other marketing material.
Contra Costa Public Health Services 597 Center Avenue, Suit 325 Martinez, California; (925) 313-6808 Provided consultation and technical assistance to Contra Costa Health Services with regard to graphics development for the Community Education and Information. Work included technical assistance in the production of publicly distributed materials, media advocacy, information dissemination, and community education and outreach. Construction and maintenance of of numerous different web sites.
Schurman Design: 101 New Montgomery St. 6th Fl., San Francisco, CA 94105; (888) 685-2614 Responsible for the development and rendering of artistic designs under the direction of Schurman Fine Papers management. Duties needed were heavy Photoshop skills, color correction, ability to create die lines and other processes.
Clipper Newspapers: 2995 Taylor Lane #4, Byron, CA 94514; (925) 516-7377 Art director In charge of ad design, editorial layout, photo correction, cover design and production of the Clipper Newspaper. Other duties included the production of full color glossy guides to the Delta and the construction of its companion web site, www.californiadelta.com. In addition to these tasks I was in charge of in house promotional pieces.
Brentwood Parks and Recreation: 740 - 3rd st. Brentwood, CA 94531; (925) 634-1044 For over 5 years I instructed beginning guitar classes to students of all ages with class sizes of 18 students or more.
Captured Images: 603 West Madill, Antioch, CA 94509; (925) 757-9067 On Saturdays I operated my own pet portraiture business called Captured Images located in the back of a Chapman's Dog Grooming. I offered a variety of different photo packages and shot a variety of different lighting situations and worked with various customers in determining their needs. I also provided pictures on disk.

On the job training for newspaper, magazine production and digital pre press operations.
Was the Graphics editor for the college newspaper. Won awards at the Northern California Journalism Community College Competition for both photo illustration and informational graphics.
On the job training in pre-press production in regards to die-cut, emboss, deboss, sculptured emboss, spot colors and multi color designs.
Learned design style from art directors at Schurman Fine Papers.
Gold medal winner for web page design, poster and catalog cover design at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations NCMPR
