Had a little encounter with a bobcat last night that seemed to think my place was fair game.
For scale you can see it’s a bit bigger than your average house kitty and much deadlier!

Wow, how exciting! But then because of all the creatures around your place it can be a problem too! They are such gorgeous creatures! And their habitat is being affected, forcing them to wander where they haven’t before. Unfortunately, up here if a cougar, bear or other creature considered to be dangerous wanders too close to inhabited areas they are shot! I would like to see them relocated. It isn’t their fault we are taking their homes away from them! Great pictures, Eloine!

I wouldn’t offer it a saucer of milk; the adult lynx rufus has been known to take down an adult deer. Way to get the shot!
