I just signed up for a new micro stock place called Fotolia which supplies the stock images for the images available to Creative Cloud members using the Adobe products. It’s a subscription based service much like Shutterstock but the assets are easily maintained through the cloud membership.
I was visiting the state chancellors website for some information and was greeted with one of my images from this last graduation on their home page. I thought it was cool too 🙂
Just got a couple more images approved for sale in my Shutterstock account under plants. The bottle gourd I actually grew myself. I was quite proud of it actually since dealing with the aphids and powdery mildew (here I blog about that) was a LOT of work.
The elephant ear I wish was my plant but it was taken in a greenhouse in Golden Gate Park. It was pretty humid in there. I took the picture and then want bursting out so I could breath!
It’s been a while since I posted anything to do with my garden. It’s been a little unloved lately but I was pleased it gave me this little harvest. I was testing one of my flash heads and noticed this palette of earthy colors pegging to be photographed.
I had a little fun with trying to shoot the moon near the water tower in Brentwood Ca. The color purple I think was a mistake but I kinda like it. I guess Bob Ross was right when he said there are no mistakes, just happy accidents 🙂
This is my first time on display at the Brentwood Community Center Public Wall Art Exhibit. They have such a nice brand new building with a big hook and wire area to display art. I currently have 7 pieces on display.
There will be a light reception with refreshments on Thursday March 10, 2016 from 6:30 – 7pm at 35 Oak Steet.
There will be four artist on display, Cheryl Breitenbucher, Jerome Gibson, Annette Seabury and myself. The display will run through the end of March. I would love to see you there!
Yup one of my photos can be see from the freeway in lights this morning. Its one of 8 on display in an ad on the newly installed electronic billboard.
Before it was just a regular billboard and it couldn’t be changed until the contract was up. Now the message can be rotated throughout the year. Below is how it looked before it was upgraded to the new system.
